Mighty God, we worship and honor You today. Holy are You. We are here as children choosing obedience to One they adore to seek Your Kingdom. With Your heart and will, we want it to manifest on earth as it is in Heaven.

We thank You, Sir, for all the men and women who have laid aside their lives and agendas to serve this great Nation in the Armed Forces, as policemen, firemen and sheriffs. Whether they serve in harm’s way or in a supportive capacity, we ask for Your blessing on their work. We pray Hebrews 12:28: Let them have grace, by which they may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear” Teach them to say, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely You shall deliver them from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. ...

We pray today also for our newly elected politicians. Apart from You, they can do nothing. We pray that they would seek You and rely on Your power, grace and wisdom. May it be said of them, “Whatever they do, they work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” Help them to keep the vision and assignment from the electorate at the forefront of their thinking.

Thank You for answering our prayers today and for the great grace by which people are saved in Jesus’ name. Amen.
