I have no doubt that you believe that. Christ preserved Judas as an apostle until he fulfilled his purpose as well. The Catholic Church will be preserved until the events of Revelation 18.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Give your interpretation.

Revelation 18 is talking about the Roman Catholic Church. The woman that rides the beast. Mystery, Babylon the Great, The Mother of Harlots and abominations of the earth.

Revelation 17:9 This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits.

"It is within the city of Rome, called the city of seven hills, that the entire area of Vatican State proper is now confined." [The Catholic Encyclopedia (Thomas Nelson, 1976), s.v. "Rome."]

"Babylon is a code word for Rome. It is used that way six times in the last book of the Bible [four of the six are in chapters 17 and 18 and in extrabiblical works such as Sibylling Oracles (5, 159f.), the Apocalypse of Baruch (ii, 1), and 4 Esdras (3:1). Eusebius Pamphilius, writing about 303, noted that "it is said that Peter's first epistle... was composed at Rome itself; and that he himself indicates this, referring to the city figuratively as Babylon." [Karl Keating, Catholicism and Fundamentalism: The Attack on "Romanism" by "Bible Christians" (Ignatius Press, 1988), p. 200.]

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
