No, I wasn't "setting myself up" as anything. The original comment by the other guy that the lady was "rude" was what started it. Then, the other guy said that, basically, we all pray to the same God, who has "many different names." That's what I was rejecting. Allah is NOT God, and those people who run the National Cathedral were purely stupid for inviting Islamists into that church like the dhimmis they are showing themselves to be.
Allah is indeed the Arabic word for God. It is used as such by Arabic-speaking Christians and was long before Mohammed came around.
You can say, if you like, and I'd even agree, that the "Allah" worshipped by Muslims is not the same Person as is worshipped by Christians under the same name.
Historically speaking, Jesus probably addressed His Father with an Aramaic word pronounced very similarly to that of the present day Arabic "Allah."
To say "Allah is not God," is to say, linguistically speaking, "God is not God."
Seems to me there is no question whatsoever that the lady was rude. You can make an argument her rudeness was justified, but not that it wasn't discourteous.
There are, of course, much worse sins than being rude.
