Allah is indeed the Arabic word for God. It is used as such by Arabic-speaking Christians and was long before Mohammed came around.
You can say, if you like, and I'd even agree, that the "Allah" worshipped by Muslims is not the same Person as is worshipped by Christians under the same name.
Historically speaking, Jesus probably addressed His Father with an Aramaic word pronounced very similarly to that of the present day Arabic "Allah."
To say "Allah is not God," is to say, linguistically speaking, "God is not God."
Seems to me there is no question whatsoever that the lady was rude. You can make an argument her rudeness was justified, but not that it wasn't discourteous.
There are, of course, much worse sins than being rude.
Allah is a false god. He is not the God of the Bible. If he is anything, he is a demon or even Satan himself.
The lady was right in what she did, boldly proclaiming Jesus Christ as the only Way to salvation. The time for “politeness” in the face of evil not only is long gone, but never really was.
No.
Allah was a pagan moon deity worshipped in Mecca pre-Mohammed.
It does NOT mean “God”.
The root of Allah is Al-ilah which means “the god” and is NOT a “proper” direct name of reference like Elohim.
Matter of fact, said moon deity has three daughters, acknowledged by Islam to exist, and they are named: Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, and Manat.
There was some buzz awhile back in Islam about whether or not they should worship the daughters of Allah.
[The “moon rock” at Mecca has three pebbles that fell off of it, hence the three daughters.]
