Heartbreak turns to joy in Christ!
I love to see Catholics come to entrust themselves to Christ entirely tor salvation. After a lifetime of religion and empty ritual, knowing Christ is entering a new world of love and grace and eternal life.
Thanks for posting.
In before the *She was poorly catechized* posse.
I remember that from growing up. It was still believed even in the 60's.
My father was a drunk and it’s because he was a Catholic. My brother was a drunk and it’s because he was a Catholic. I was a drunk and it’s because I was Catholic. I knew a priest who was a drunk and a fornicator. Catholics worship Mary. Catholics worship statues of Mary. Catholics follow rules. Catholics don’t know Christ. Blah blah blah. Yada yada yada.
That article and this one reveal the bondage that Catholicism is.
Christ is freedom. Freedom from rules and regulations and works.
Did you read the article?
How is devoting your life, your all to Mary, NOT worship of her?
Where is room for devotion to Christ if one is devoted to Mary?
I would say it is all pretty distracting.
While you may not be aware of it, this thread is the result of a certain Catholic FReeper (courtesy ping) baiting FR Protestants with demands to produce a Catholic-to-Protestant conversion story (post three on this thread). I assume now that one has in fact been produced the whining about "bigotry" will begin and it will be pulled (Catholics being an urban left wing immigrant minority in the USA) and that same FReeper (courtesy ping) who started this with his childish baiting will stick his tongue out and probably start demanding more Catholic-to-Protestant conversion threads so that he may repeat the process.
Honestly, are Fundamentalist Protestants the only people you think you are better than? Do you not have the courage to criticize anyone else?
Redneck-bashing doesn't exactly require a lot of 'ovnayim.
No kidding.
When I read this it certainly reminded me of someone else’s conversion experience, when he said “Here I felt as if I were entirely born again and had entered paradise itself through the gates that had been flung open.” (Luther)
I did too, but I was 21 at the time. As far as I know, my parents never forgave me, but later, they had to admit I was different.
All faithful Catholics do. They do it by following the teachings handed down to the Apostles by Jesus Christ and preserved in the church he established. You are welcomed to entrust yourself to Jesus Christ at any time by becoming Catholic rather than follow the traditions of men as a Protestant.
Too long to read.
Move on folks, this is a former Catholic website.
Don’t we have enough of them here on FR?
Public school grad?
Too long to read????????
From someone whose home page is FILLED with links to Catholic sites? Who posts daily mass readings which are longer by far than this thread’s article?
For real?????????
IOW.......
Nothing to see here. Move along folks.
Reading it might open your eyes to the truth about Catholicism from someone who knows it well, and we can’t have any of that exposing of Catholicism’s true teachings going on here.
