Not meaning any offense toward you personally, but the premise of your posted article is false. I’ve never attended in a single church during the past 40 years that recognized any of those people as the “final authority.”

I think you will do better if you seek out facts for yourself and think about what they mean, instead of posting something that is poorly written and false.

You're making my point.

You are not old enough to have been in every Protestant denomination, unless you are at least 700 or 800 years old.

Not meaning any offense toward you personally, ...

Why not? It is clear that the purpose of the posting is to denigrate Protestants, while promoting the largest cult in the World. It displays the typical arrogance of the Roman Catholic posters seeking to validate their faith in their "group" claim.

What they fail to note is the intolerance goes to the heart of Christ's proclamations and Works. He died to set us free from the bondage of sin and death. They would prefer to work their way through their groups claims and hope that somehow, some day, they can be good enough or at least have enough candles and prayers for them that they can escape from their assumed purgatory.

Of course, most of what they claim is extra-biblical and found only within their "traditions". Jesus had much to say about that! They mostly employ the rat-poison formula, containing 10% poison along with 90% wholesome foods.

Mark 7: 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.” ...

...and Paul says more...

Collossians 2 ... 6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forcesa of this world rather than on Christ.

9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

LOL.

Now, now, don't interrupt, he/she is on a roll.

He/she is going to remind us about how Germany attacked us at Pearl Harbor next.

Next question: Who Founded All These Protestant Denominations?

Pope Stephen VI (896–897), who had his predecessor Pope Formosus exhumed, tried, de-fingered, briefly reburied, and thrown in the Tiber.[1]

Pope John XII (955–964), who gave land to a mistress, murdered several people, and was killed by a man who caught him in bed with his wife.

Pope Benedict IX (1032–1044, 1045, 1047–1048), who "sold" the Papacy

Pope Boniface VIII (1294–1303), who is lampooned in Dante's Divine Comedy

Pope Urban VI (1378–1389), who complained that he did not hear enough screaming when Cardinals who had conspired against him were tortured.[2]

Pope Alexander VI (1492–1503), a Borgia, who was guilty of nepotism and whose unattended corpse swelled until it could barely fit in a coffin.[3]

Pope Leo X (1513–1521), a spendthrift member of the Medici family who once spent 1/7 of his predecessors' reserves on a single ceremony[4]

Pope Clement VII (1523–1534), also a Medici, whose power-politicking with France, Spain, and Germany got Rome sacked.

Gijsbert Haan is the final biblical interpretive authority for many Protestants.

That, and all the other such statements are fallacious, except in cults and in Rome, in which both basically hold an individual as having assuredly veracity.

Likewise fallacious is the premise that holding Scripture as supreme is unscriptural while holding the pope and church as supreme is, and produces a superior Scriptural unity.

And that holding Scripture as supreme as the accurate wholly inspired and supreme authority does not produce fruit of superior conservative unity than the fruit of the Roman model, as while Scripture does not change, leadership can, and to which the laity look for interpretation, and faith is shown by what we do.

And that the one true church is the visible one, only consisting of members of the body of Christ.

Is your argument is that an assuredly (if conditionally) infallible magisterium is essential for determination and assurance of Truth (including writings and men being of God) and to fulfill promises of Divine presence, providence of Truth, and preservation of faith, and authority?

And that being the historical instruments and stewards of Divine revelation (oral and written) means that such is that assuredly infallible magisterium, dissent from which invalidates one form having authority?

And that the Roman model precludes the church being one in which there was an almost entire abandonment of equity in ecclesiastical judgments, and severely lacking discipline in morals, and erudition in sacred literature, and reverence in divine things, so that true religion was almost extinct, so that the true Church had to be sought outside the institution.

Answer me.
