Mormon leaders have acknowledged for the first time that the church’s founder and prophet, Joseph Smith, portrayed in church materials as a loyal partner to his loving spouse Emma, took as many as 40 wives, some already married and one only 14 years old.

The biggest bombshell for some in the essays is that Smith married women who were already married, some to men who were Smith’s friends and followers.
This is perfect: Joseph Smith may be disappointing many Mormons right now, according to the article, but he suddenly becomes the poster-boy for the advocacy of sequential polygamy and adultery by Cardinal Kasper, Cardinal Marx, and the whole neo-Pagan cabal wanting to destroy the immutable Catholic doctrine established by Our Lord Jesus Christ on marriage, family, valid penance, mortal sin, and non-sacrilegious reception of the Blessed Sacrament.

I used to work with an LDS doctor who had a website that put forward the idea that Mr. Smith was using peyote which accounted for his visions. Now it seems he was using some early version of Viagra...
P.S. the doctor was excommunicated.
Too bad Cardinals Kasper and Marx aren’t excommunicated from the Catholic Church for publicly advocating polygamy.
Instead, the former is considered Francis’ “serene theologian” and the latter is a member of Francis’ Gang o’ Eight.

I wonder if Cardinal Kasper has a pastoral solution to recommend for these situations. But then, Cardinal Kasper has not had much time for Africans telling him what to do.
