Apparently, "Teen Mom" star/stripper Farrah Abraham's recent trip to Houston's Lakewood Church had an impact.
The reality star turned porn star was spotted in a Texas airport this week reading a copy of Lakewood pastor Joel Osteen's bestsellilng book "You Can, You Will."

Then what is it? Tell me. I want to know.
Motivational speaking.
>> God can see it. Those who grate and prate cant.
I see you are still at it, gratin’ and preachin’.
You do not know what you are saying and do not understand the power of God.
2preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Not a "preacher" who denies Jesus, like Osteen did on National TV. Not a preacher who doesn't take a stand on homosexuality, and actually cavorts with homosexuals that bare their fangs at Christians. Not a preacher who says the pro-abortion president is a Christian.
I don't know what that means, do you think her porn is going to bring people to Jesus?
Perfect pastor for a stripper.
Knows it so well, he never has to cite it in a speech... I mean "sermon"
bump
No idea what you are talking about.
Which Osteen did when he said homosexuality is a sin, but Osteen also recognized he is not to judge sinners.
Preachers are to preach about sin. Jesus did. Osteen DOES NOT.
Like I said, Osteen hangs out with well known homosexuals who bare their fangs at true Christians. Joel Osteen blesses Houston's new (gay) mayor Annise Parker You think any of Osteen's sermons or other documents were subpoenaed? (I'll make it easy for you, no.)
...”if she believes in herself enough she will reach the pinnacle of her”...
Olsteen skirts around the edges of New Age lingo....which unfortunately many churches have taken on as well.
He’s a master at creating an ambiance in his performances and in the auditorium itself.... and this conditioning of the people “moves” them to a place of accepting what he’s saying.
Most of his followers are looking “to Him” to say what they think they need to hear,(itchy ears), As people do when attending motivational seminars. The similarities are striking.....which Osteen basically is just that...a motivational speaker.......admittedly so as in interviews he calls himself an “encourager, motivator, coach”.
Olsteen is also a “Word of Faith” preacher on the same order with Myers, Hinn, and one could even say Oprah style.
But instead of the “Name it claim it” motto...Olsteen’s motto is “Fake it til you make it”.
Okay, I'll play. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but for me her profession isn't the path I'd take to find Jesus. lol
However, I do believe the things I've heard Osteen say so far regarding faith and belief in God and His Word in fact do offer a path that will lead one to Jesus.
Truth is where you find it, if that is what you seek.
It really all depends on what you're looking for, because that's what people tend to find.
I don't think one could go that far to describe Olsteen’s Seminars, which is basically what his preaching surrounds.
Rather he “cloaks” his motivational speaking with Christian vocabulary to make it more like “cotton candy” flavor to his listeners.... looks good, is fun, and tastes good, but mostly air.
Olsteen will not speak of sin nor sinners, nor repentance...of which without these there is no Salvation therefore HE is Not a preacher of Christianity, rather he is very good at pointing to himself, his church, his tapes and vast array of “stuff” to purchase....while he grows His Kingdom of followers who love cotton candy.
A writer did some numbers on Olsteens mention Of Jesus on his twitter account...interesting....
This is where he’s at...:
... One of the most well-known and most recognized pastors with the biggest platform, out of 806 tweets this last year, in a Twitter feed that is not about his personal life, but rather serves to communicate his version of theological truths about Christianity and Faith for his 2.6 million followers Joel Osteen mentioned Jesus in some capacity ‘3’ times.
....going back to 2009 when he joined, out of his 11300 tweets, he mentioned the name Jesus only 24 times. On a Twitter feed designed to share truth about the Christian life from a supposed Christian leader who tweets 2-4 times a day.....All three were at Easter. ....Nothing for the rest of the year...... Which of course made me wonder Didnt he even mention Jesus at Christmas? Nope. These were his four Christmas eve and Christmas tweets.
... talk of Jesus..and his death and resurrection
his salvation
his shed blood and sin
.the forgiveness he offers
.his grace and mercy
his loving kindness- theres nothing even remotely like that there.
Like I said, Christ-less”
that is crazy
