Jesus is the name of the Messiah in English, this we know for certain. Y'shua is a Hebrew equivalent as is Yoshua... but YAHShua? Never heard of him... it is neither English nor Greek nor even Hebrew,
The proponents of the Yahshua form claim that the Messiahs name was the same as Joshuas, written [vwhy or [wvwhy (Strongs #3091). The only problem is that neither of these Hebrew spellings of Joshuas name can possibly be pronounced "Yahshua." The third letter in Joshuas name (reading from right to left) is the letter vav (w) and a vav cannot be silent. The letter vav must be pronounced as either a "v" or an "o" or an "u." (In the case of Joshua, it takes an "o" sound, giving us "Ye-ho-SHU-a." Strongs confirms this pronunciation.) For a name to be pronounced "Yahshua," it would have to be spelled [wv--hy, and no such name exists anywhere in the Hebrew Bible. You dont have to just take my word for it, though. Dr. Danny Ben-Gigi says of the Yahshua form that "there is no such name in Hebrew" and that "people invented it to fit their theology."[1] Dr. Ben-Gigi is an Israeli and the former head of Hebrew programs at Arizona State University. He is the author of the book First Steps in Hebrew Prayers, and he designed and produced the "Living Israeli Hebrew" language-learning course. Dr. David Bivin, a Christian, says that the Yahshua form "is rooted in a misunderstanding."[2] Dr. Bivin is a renowned Hebrew scholar and teacher and author of Fluent Biblical Hebrew. Take your sacred name cult stuff to someone else.
Jesus is not English..
Joshua is...sorry...
The letter J isn’t 2000 years old either..
but that didnt stop ‘Mary’ for coming down to people and calling her son by a name not around when she gave birth to her son... seemed awful weird since she was an eye and ear witness as scripture says to the real Hebrew name.. that probably isn’t a question Catholics or protestants think about.. but, what’s in a name?
And considering there is no J in Hebrew, HalleluYah may not make the spelling sticklers happy, but saying Yah would seem to be a norm as opposed to halleluYey or Jaw like many spell it..
HalleluYah is everywhere in Christianity with a j, sometimes an I.... somebody needs to tell them they are pronouncing it and spelling it wrong..
Lots of people have been pronouncing and spelling it wrong as long as I lived I guess..
Jesus is Greco roman Latin which makes perfect sense that he has a Greco roman Latin birthday and a Greco roman Latin resurrection day.. and since Greco roman Latins had lots of gods and lost of sun worship, Sunday fits right in..
Those pillars of beth shemesh,, those sun worship pillars of Jeremiah 43:13
You will find one at the vatican.. you will also find one in DC..
Funny, satanic occult symbols in Christian locales.nothing new under the sun..
While people debate spellings and pronunciations, Baal owns the work and worship life of billions and people may even defend it.
The cult is strong in christendom when protestants stand up to defend the roman catholic mother church..
The Joel osteens, billy grahams, TD Jakes, Joyce Meyers, Hagees, Robertsons, Swaggerts, etc have a real vested interest that the mother church doesn’t crumble on its lies.. because those folks are built upon that mother church’s story.
Christmas and Ishtar, I mean Esther, I mean easter holy days prove it..
Kind of hard to have to defend the papacy when scripture checks off lots of strikes against her when describing the beasts of Revelation and Daniel..a tough pill to swallow for people on the forum who beat that papacy up every chance they get..
Come out of her my people.. or stay in... entirely a choice He gives us all.
The greatest story ever told could very well end up being the greatest counterfeit lie ever created by Satan..
While people give ignorant glory to some god name Wooden tomorrow, I will thank Him for what He created on His fourth day of His week, the 12th day of His month..
If that is a cult by today’s definition, I guess that makes me guilty. Guilty of following sola scriptura and not sola popa..
