I've never seen or experienced anything that I could not logically attribute to the One God.

Necromancy, a grievous sin.

Apparently a Satanic priest?

Interesting article. It is clearly possibe to speak with the dead as the bible tells us in the Old Testament Book 1 of Samuel verses 1-28 where the woman of Endor brought up Saul, and the bible tells us that this was not a demon but indeed Samuel. “And Saul understood that it was Samuel...”

The issue is that we aren’t supposed to - not that it can’t be done. Necromancy forbids the conjuring up of spirits in order to tell the future and this is indeed a serious sin if one were to do it. However, the fact remains that the bible would not have bothered to forbid the practice if it were impossible.

By “Anglo-Catholic” I assume he meant Episcopalian. Episcopalianism is a cult. It mimics Roman Catholicism in ceremony but does not believe in the Bible and worships homosexuality, among other things.

Has anyone ever hear of the term “near death experiences” or NDE’s?

If the priest did not “summon” the dead, I don’t see any reason to think this was anything other than the spirit of the deceased trying to comfort his brother. Once it was done, through communion, he went “home.”

Nothing evil about an act of compassion, caring, and love for a brother.

“Some people have it. The ability to see things. My mother had it. She called it the shine.”

This is true. Years ago my husband and I were at our friends home playing cards way too late. It was a beautiful late summer night and we were driving home on the two lane highway leading to our home about two in the morning. At a curve, on the right side gravel berm, there was a funnel of what looked like thousands and thousands of mini stars, very effervescent, almost like a cloud, twinkling and spinning within the funnel. It was about eight feet high, and at the wide top it was about four feet and narrowed to the bottom point. It was off the ground about two feet. We both saw it and it was the strangest thing we have ever seen, it was unworldly to be honest. My husband asked if we should go back and we both agreed, NO WAY. The next day, we were talking to neighbors and they asked if we had heard about the car accident down the road last night. A local teenager on his way home had been killed at that curve around 9 pm, just hours before we saw whatever we saw. After several weeks, I wanted to call his parents but I had no idea how they would take it, or really what to say without sounding like a nut, so we both agreed to keep it to ourselves.

Learned a few things from this article...

One is that the spirits of dead Catholic people don’t go to meet their fate immediately upon death...They wander around amongst us, but for how long???

The second thing is that the aisles of Catholic churches apparently are full of dead people going up to take part in the Eucharist...

And thirdly, contrary to popular Catholic opinion, the departed dead (at least this one) head on up toward the light (heaven) without being sent down to purgatory...
