IIRC, you also are a Catholic. :-)

I am not a Catholic.

I am a born again follower of Jesus.

My spiritual identity is being in Christ, not a member of any religious organization or denomination. Those do not define who I am.

I was sure you had written somewhere that you were born into a Catholic family, baptized, received first communion, confirmed, and then later went off into other denominations or sects. Did I confuse you with some other woman ? IIRC, you made a point of asserting you were not poorly catechized. If one does have Catholic parents who still attend mass, it would be a mitzvah (good deed) to show them the love, honor, and respect of taking them to mass occasionally. The scripture that permeates the mass will do one no harm, and if God and your conscience does not allow you to do all that Catholics do, that's okay too. “Not a sermon, just a thought.” -- Lon Solomon
