Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

History says otherwise. And I quote; "No, Rood has never changed the meaning of anything that I have seen; he makes the meaning clearer, and easier to remember.
>>If you knew anything about him, you would see that.<
It's obvious I know enough about him to know he is a fraud and promotes a false gospel.
Catholics established the facts.
neither, just seeking your opinion on methodolgy...how do you suppose He did that???
Enough!
And if you wish to argue with Michael Rood, here is his phone number: 888-766-3610
Then how about you give up advocating for him?
If you stop pushing Rood-ism, we'll stop refuting his lies and mangled Scripture.
Stop your deliberate false accusations, both against me, and against a dedicated minister of Yeshua that isn’t even posting here, and perhaps you’ll be able to look at yourself in the mirror.
You're right. I will never stop my spiritual war with the Satanic influence of frauds like Rood and those who promote his false gospel.
>>Spreading falsehood against someone<<
Everything I have shown about Rood is publicly available through his own public words, books, advertisements, etc. His teachings are straight from Satan and contradict the word of God.
>>Crushing someone that tells the truth<<
Truth? Neither Rood nor those who promote his corruptions deal in the truth of scripture. Those who deal in the truth of scripture don't need to change the words the Holy Spirit inspired words as I have shown that Rood does and has been done by you on this thread.
>>is not going to help at the Great White Throne when the books are closed on your life.<<
I am safe and secure with the guarantee of the indwelling Holy Spirit as Jesus promised.
Matthew 24 is referencing the seven year tribulation and the people of the nation of Israel.
Rood is a false prophet and has shown to be on many occasions.
Whatever he preaches against the truth, I will speak out against.
No one is saved by keeping the Law, the Torah, Jesus’ commandments, whatever anyone wants to label the works they do.
Salvation is by grace through faith, in Christ and nothing else. All other paths are dead ends.
Anyone who is changing the word of God is doing the work of the enemy. HE’S the one who from the beginning has been attacking the integrity and veracity of the word.
2 John 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11 for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.
It seems to me that some distinction is being made.
That’s the main reason I meet LDSers, JWs, political campaigners, and other such folk...on my front porch. Even in the dead of winter.
(I’ve seen some dust off the bottoms of their shoes as they’ve departed my front steps.)
I do that after leaving my barn...
I think I’ve seen pics of your barn and understand the wisdom in that.
Since Rood preaches only directly from the scriptures, we can see wherein your motivation lies. (pun intended)

Modified ones?
At least his version right? We do need to be forthright and let the readers understand that he uses his own MIV? He wouldn't want us to not give him credit would he? He said himself that he has his own translation.
From Rood: ""...in 1762 the KJV was revised for the fifth time to include italicized words which denote most times when words were added to the text without corresponding verbiage in the original Hebrew or Greek. That was an invaluable addition to their original work, and I use the same protocol when I translate the Scriptures. My translation is referred to as the MIV or the Marine Infantry Version, as I began my serious study of Scripture during my time of serving with the United States Marine Corps."
He even changes it from the original to " make it more understandable" right?
>>Modified ones?<<
Yeah. I posted an example here; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/religion/3212840/posts?page=3495#3495

[165] Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
[166] LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

[171] My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
[172] My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
[176] I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

Matthew 5:
[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mark 7:
[6] He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

[8] For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
[9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

1Corinthians 14;37
[37] If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
1John 2:
[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
[6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
[7] Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
[23] And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
[24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
2John 1:
[5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
[6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

No modified ones,
Just the truth that easy believers hate.
(they hate all of the truth)
