Liberals increasingly want to enforce a comprehensive, uniformly secular vision of the human good. And they see alternative visions of the good as increasingly intolerable.... Palmer... expresses "ambivalence," "suspicion," and "visceral discomfort" ... that these men and women are motivated to make "long-term commitments to address the health problems of poor Africans," to "risk their lives," and to accept poor compensation (and sometimes none at all) because of their Christian faith.
The question is why he considers this a problem...

I do think the fact that Christianity alone among religions is singled out for hatred by liberals is a pretty good indicator that Christianity is the right path.
As he puts it, rather wanly, “It’s great that these people are doing God’s work, but do they have to talk about Him so much?”
That overriding distaste for religion leads Palmer to propose a radical corollary to the classical liberal ideal of a separation between church and state — one that goes far beyond politics, narrowly construed. Palmer thinks it’s necessary to uphold a separation of “religion and health care.”
The problem, Palmer, is that you can’t coerce people into volunteering. They volunteer on their terms, or they don’t volunteer at all.
So, really this Palmer fellow would rather see Africans die than receive health care from a Christian who might actually talk about their faith.

trust me...I do. but it is very informative about what catholicism teaches. I call it opposition research.
Outside looking in to the Roman Church by means of the catechism? The one thing that sets the Roman Church aside from sola scripture is the their traditions. Go to a service at Christmas or any weekday. You will learn more than reading texts massaged by masonic cardinals.
Their ego condemns them. They can’t acceptsa moral authority higher than jimans. Simply being reminded of that angers them. It’s a symptom of their immature approach to life.
I think that most of the reasons put forward are more justification than anything else.The actual hatred is way deeper than mere 'reason' and it stems from a deep dreadfull fear.

Because liberals have replaced God with an all-providing Govt.
Liberalism has literally become a religion to them.
1) Liberal govt must control all aspects of people’s lives.
2) Liberals do not control Christianity and that threatens them.
3) liberals do not debate...they must silence the unbelievers.
4) Govt is now a tool to punish unbelievers.
5) Other religions offer competition for hearts and minds. Christianity negates govt brain washing in schools...that threatens them.
6) Thou shalt have no God before (liberal) govt.
That is true in Communism, Socialism and Liberalism. Ultimately they are all the same.
Yep; "if you're taking flak, you're over the target."
