I think the issue is whether or not it is within Christian theological understanding that the living can communicate with the dead and vice versa.

Rome claims it's 'saints' are NOT dead; but with the Lord.

Heck; you'll get this same response for all KINDS of Christians; too!

(I guess them "dead in Christ" folks are gonna be a very, VERY small group!)
