Nope. But the people of earth will get to experience the wrath of God and whoever wants to serve the Messiah will live in peace for a thousand years. Remember? Peace on earth and good will to men?

The rapture tickles men’s ears.

When one considers that life on earth is an infinitesimal feature of the universe, the idea that an end times is remote seems is far more illogical that the notion that it will.....but we just don’t know when. The when on the other hand, is a function of what we observe in the present and from my point if view, what is see ain’t good.

It amazes me that there at people who think that God would subject those who are faithful to Him to His wrath.

According to scripture those who are taken will be sent to the outer darkness. Those who remain will reign with Christ. The notion of rapture is in absolute conflict with the teachings of Christ.

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
-- Psalm 8:3-8

It amazes me that comfortable American 'christianity' thinks no hardships will ever come our way, and that we will be 'whisked away' when times get tough.

I guess the people killed in the arena for sport, impaled and lit on fire as torches and other such depravities were not genuine Christians, because God allowed them to suffer.

If there’s anyone who could change his status from left behind to not left behind, if there’s anyone who could wrangle his way onto the wing of an ascending angel, it is Mr.Nicolas Cage.

(Okay, Liam Neeson, Harrison Ford, and Bruce Willis could probably do it too. I think Sly and Arnold would be too heavy for the angels.)

Don’t know about the end of the world, but I believe that the US has less than a year to go.

Is the end of the world near?

Yes. Just like the 21,376,439 other times people predicted it was.

Please show where scripture says that the hardships Christians go through is due to God's wrath.

>>I guess the people killed in the arena for sport, impaled and lit on fire as torches and other such depravities were not genuine Christians, because God allowed them to suffer.<<

Are you saying that those Christians being slaughtered were due to God's wrath?

I understand what you’re saying and I hope you’re right. But what about the Christians of the past who were thrown to the lions or burned at the stake? We’re not any better than they are.

Not planning to see the film in a theater (dropped that habit a few years ago) but I do have to wonder if the character of Nicolai Carpathia will be portrayed as a tall and painfully thin mulatto.

It would spark discussion except that no one will go see the movie.

>>But what about the Christians of the past who were thrown to the lions or burned at the stake?<<

That was NOT due to the wrath of God. The plagues, catastrophies, and mass deaths coming during the tribulation period ARE the wrath of God.

Christians are told we would have trials and persecution by the hand of Satan but promised we would never be subjected to His (God's) wrath.

I see. Well, I hope you’re right. A pretrib rapture is definitely the best-case scenario!
