By using equal protection claims (incorrectly) to overturn state marriage licensing requirements, the courts have overturned ALL forms of state licensing. The courts have ruled that a license which places requirements on the applicant violates the equal protection rights of persons who do not meet those requirements.

"I think people should be able to marry contract with who they love and who they belong with." (This is and always has been true.)

"I think people should be able to marry be licensed to hunt who they love and who they belong with any animal they wish in any season they wish with any weapon they wish."

"I think people should be able to marry be licensed to perform brain surgery who they love and who they belong with regardless of expertise and experience, regardless of previous licensing requirements."

This argument is why I refuse to get a motorcycle endorsement on my DL.

...until I get fined and told to upgrade my endorsements. Defending the principle in court will be too expensive.
