Generally, a rapture before the tribulation is what’s spoken of, and it’s generally assumed the bodies of the believers will “disappear” leaving clothes and all.

Well; that thing about clothes is not really mentioned. However, if one extrapolates Elijah's mantle being left behind...

Matthew 24:38-42
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Luke 17:36
Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.

as you know, it is appointed for all men once, to die. Heb 9;27

Note that two OT patriarchs did not die. (Elijah and Enoch).

These two will be the two witnesses spoke of in Revelation, I believe.
Therefore, they will die, to, when killed by the AntiChrist, only to be revived by God.

Meanwhile, us, when we are raptured, will instantly, painlessly fall dead.

We will have no need for a body, and so we will leave it here, with our clothes.

However, our soul, will be taken by the Lord.

Why are we SO focused on our earthly bodies? These too will perish, but we will get new ones, ones that last forever.
