Believe me when I say that churches do not spend a dime burying people. We, family members, do that Some of my relatives/friends/ancestors are buried at church cemeteries. The ones my family associates with were given the land for both the church and cemetery. I have seen records of some of these churches—20 in attendance and less than $20 in collection which may cover the bills the churches pay each month.
Those people who pay all that money could be giving it to lead the lost to Jesus instead of spending thousands on rocks, caskets, etc.
Wrap them in a sheet, dig a hole, and there you are. The $50 dollar funeral.
