I really don't understand why certain people find the Mother of Jesus Christ to be such a threat.

I also don't understand the vehemence that they come with.

Certainly Mary would never interfere in a relationship her Son has with anyone.

I also do not understand why we have the same "conversation" over and over again. It seems someone posted a lovely story of a conversion and it has become this big conflict.

Take the Blessed Mother or leave her, but leave us none the less, as we will keep her.

There's no threat. There is however, the correct interpretation of the Word.

False teachings, like the RCC does with Mary, that aren't supported by the Bible, need to be addressed when espoused.

Because Catholics hold her in such high esteem. You would not be a good protestant if you didn’t put down the mother of God.

That's not it ...

It is a righteous anger and indignation that wells up in a Christian when a Roman Catholic ascribes attributes to Mary that are the sole possession of the Lord of Hosts.
