We don’t know how much we haven’t been taught.. and its because we have teachers like Osteen.

Almost.

It's because of a LACK of a Berean-like curiousity.

What we 'NEED' to be taught; is found in the book.

I suspect a certain large church's members will now claim we need MORE than is found in the book.

What the book says:

Acts 17:11

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

On the other hand...

What the book does NOT say:

Acts 17:11

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and listened to what the Magisterium taught about whether these things were so.

Elsie,

What I have found is we start with a false premise that actually stunts our studies.
Not sure your opinion of the mother church, but the false premise starts with her.
