Nothing surprises me coming from this Obama apologist, who claims she's a Christian, but still supports the most pro-abortion and anti-Christian president in history.

How is it that the Christian gay apologists dismiss the Biblical term “abomination” as it is applied to homosexual behavior?

We’ll have to trust her for her testimony of faith. Now she needs to be taught what’s in her Bible.

Liberals always lie to themselves first, then spread the lie to seal the deal for themselves. Liberalism is a mental disease.

The problem with Homosexuality is the same problem as the rest of humanity has with sin - it keeps one from Heaven. Even one sin (even the smallest or by omission) keeps one from heaven. One must renounce them all by throwing them upon the Savior - The Lord Jesus Christ and turn and follow Him alone. Otherwise there is no hope of heaven.

And just so we know it is a sin that would keep one from heaven and eternal life, the Apostle Paul says "Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? ... or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality...

Thus those who practice homosexuality, like mankind in sin, need to repenting of all their sins(even homosexuality) - turning away from them , putting them on Him and to follow Him as Lord or there is no hope.

The devil has Ms. Powers under lock and key.

The entertainment world will only allow Kirsten to keep her lucrative job if she give something in return, namely, to advance the homosexual agenda so as to bring dishonor to the Faith.

Looks to me like a classic case of ‘the love of money is the root of all evil’. Fame and fortune is all well and good, but God must come first Kirsten. God must be number one in your life.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

The political left has its own christianity, and it has a lower case C.

She managed to move from Atheisim to Christianity, pray that God, the Bible, and the church continue to shape her beliefs and spiritual growth. She is young on the faith and like the rest of is, is a work in progress.

Her stance isn't new: convenience and hypocrisy.
She CANNOT be a Christian if she supports abortion. That is a flat-out contradiction in terms.

“If so, it will be due to the emergence of conservative Christians who say orthodox believers can support life-long, monogamous gay relationships without undermining their commitment to biblical authority.”

This person is clearly insane

“Male-male sex in the ancient world was episodic. It was mainly young boys with older men or male slaves and masters”

This is such poor Scriptural understanding, that it defies imagination, but from a leftist it is understandable.

The Lord thus said. “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination”

This stands out among the Levitical commands, as it simply calls the act known as Sodomy, ‘an abomination’. Not ‘an abomination to you’, not ‘it is unclean to you’, it is simply ‘AN ABOMINATION’ period. There is no binding that relates this only to the Ancient Hebrews. It is a moral law for all times, and it carried NO caveats. It does not describe the age of the participants nor their mindset nor their other sexual practices. It simply condemns the act of ‘sexual’ relations (if you can call them that) between two males.

I find this idea of “well, it was written when homosexuality meant something different” to be as juvenile an argument as the old canard “the 2nd Amendment was for muskets!”

These are timeless teachings. DO NOT TAKE FROM THEM, NOR ADD TO THEM!!!

“Star”?

That’s a bit of a stretch.

I would have gone with “stooge”.

“Then one night in 2006, on a trip to Taiwan, I woke up in what felt like a strange cross between a dream and reality. Jesus came to me and said, “Here I am.” It felt so real. I didn’t know what to make of it. I called my boyfriend, but before I had time to tell him about it, he told me he had been praying the night before and felt we were supposed to break up. So we did. Honestly, while I was upset, I was more traumatized by Jesus visiting me...

...I didn’t know what to do, so I spoke with writer Eric Metaxas, whom I had met through my boyfriend and who had talked with me quite a bit about God. “You need to be in a Bible study,” he said. “And Kathy Keller’s Bible study is the one you need to be in.” I didn’t like the sound of that, but I was desperate...

...I remember walking into the Bible study. I had a knot in my stomach. In my mind, only weirdoes and zealots went to Bible studies. I don’t remember what was said that day. All I know is that when I left, everything had changed.”

If she has had 8 years of following Christ, then she is old enough as a Christian to be responsible for knowing the difference between gross sin and not sin. In truth, most non-Christians do as well. On the issue of homosexuality, which her pastor opposes, the vast majority of humans for thousands of years have thought the truth was obvious.

So no, I won’t wait for her to outgrow this.

She was transformed from nothing to psuedo Christian by somewhat ambiguous Christian doctrine

Obviously she doesnt fully get it but is not totally lost either

Partially found

This newish good works and pass the grace theology that all views are respected

I would imagine her feminism which is atvthe roor of all this was formed by parental influence and secondary education

Addressing KP’s argument directly:

“Another objection is to say that the biblical passages concerning homosexuality only prohibit certain kinds of homosexual conduct, such as homosexual prostitution or pedophilia, or unfaithful homosexual relationships. (This is sometimes called the “exploitation argument”: the Bible only prohibits exploitative forms of homosexuality.) But there is no legitimate evidence in the words of any of these verses, or their contexts, or in evidence from the ancient world, to prove that the verses were referring to anything less than all kinds of homosexual conduct by all kinds of people. Two biblical counterarguments against the “exploitation argument” may be briefly mentioned: (1) In Romans 1:23–27 Paul clearly echoes Genesis 1:27, indicating that Paul viewed any sexual relationship that did not conform to the creation paradigm of “male and female” to be a violation of God’s will, irrespective of whether the relationship is loving. (2) Paul’s absolute indictment against all forms of homosexuality is underscored by his mention of lesbian intercourse in Romans 1:26, since this form of intercourse in the ancient world was not typically characterized by sex with adolescents, slaves, or prostitutes...

...Some object that the phrase “contrary to nature” in Romans 1:26–27 shows that Paul is only talking about people who “naturally” feel desires toward a person of the opposite sex but who then practice homosexuality. Paul says, “For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another” (Romans 1:26–27). According to this view, Paul is not saying anything about people who “naturally” feel desires for a person of the same sex, for such desires would not be “contrary to that person’s nature.” However, this is reading into the text a restriction that has no basis in the actual words that Paul wrote. He does not say “contrary to their nature,” but “contrary to nature” (Greek para physin), a phrase that is used several times in literature outside the Bible to speak of all kinds of homosexual conduct as something contrary to the natural order of the world. In other words, Paul is not saying in Romans 1:24–27 that some people switched their innate heterosexual urges for contrived homosexual urges, but rather that people exchanged or left behind sexual relations with a true sexual complement (someone of the other sex) to gratify their inward urges for sex with members of the same sex. Paul sees such people as choosing to follow their desires over God-ordained creation structures.”

Kirsten is intelligent and cute, but a slow learner. Here’s another example of the slow part: Back in the day, she dated Anthony Weiner for a while.
