Will set my a$$ down in the Vatican and demand I live there...then never embrace the Catholic church...then introduce my own religion and see if he wants me to stay. Case closed.
This ‘pope’ is to the Catholic Church, as Obama is to the United States. Calling Francis stupid and a dupe is being extremely charitable.
The most evident mark of Gods anger, and the most terrible castigation He can inflict upon the world, is manifest when He permits His people to fall into the hands of a clergy who are more in name than in deed, priests who practice the cruelty of ravening wolves rather than the charity and affection of devoted shepherds. They abandon the things of God to devote themselves to the things of the world and, in their saintly calling of holiness, they spend their time in profane and worldly pursuits. When God permits such things, it is a very positive proof that He is thoroughly angry with His people and is visiting His most dreadful wrath upon them. St. John Eudes
You first. Open the borders of Vatican City; have the Swiss Guards put down their battleaxes and pick up some lice, TB, and scabies.
I agree with the Pope. We should welcome them. And then send them home. Wouldn’t want to be rude after all.
DON'T EVER LET PEOPLE USE YOU!
I’d respect the Pope if he practiced what he preaches...don’t be a hypocrite.
In other words, we should have open borders. Anyone (including the Pope) who advocates for open borders should leave their door open wide so anyone who wants to come in, take their stuff, sleep in their bed, or eat their food can do so. If these pro-open-borders people do not do this, then they are hypocrites.
Now we have out answer. Put them all on a plane and drop them all off at Vatican City. The pope can’t turn them away, and he must provide for them all. Problem solved.
Corporal Works of Mercy
Feed the hungry
Give drink to the thirsty
Shelter the homeless
Clothe the naked
Care for the sick
Visit the imprisoned
Bury the dead
The Scriptural basis for the corporal works of mercy is the parable in the Gospel of Matthew, in which Jesus teaches his disciples about God’s criteria for the Last Judgment (cf.Mt25:35-42).
Is that you, Cardinal O'Malley?
It's obvious from whom Pope Francis is getting his talking points. "Xenophobic" is one of the Cardinal's favorite slurs on those who believe our nation has the right to defend its borders from invasions such as this.
