Unbelievable.
This is by far the most disgusting post I have ever seen on FR. It actually takes my breath away.
This is pure evil. I'll pray for you, JPX...and I mean that. God help you.
Catherine,
Your tagline says:
“Support Christian white males-—the architects of the jewel known as Western Civilization”
I got news for you. That’s exactly why “That’s the way things were done back then. I don’t excuse the methods but heresy is from the demonic so you better believe I celebrate its demise. These were not Christians as you attempted to allude. “
It was an orthodox Christian society which had built Western Civilization (universities, hospitals, the roots of modern philosophy and science, trial by jury, a belief in individual rights, etc) and that was all part of what the inquisitors believed they were protecting. You don’t have to like it, but it’s true whether you like it or not.
It gets worse as you read it because not only is it defended by the poster, but by other RC’s as well.
What's unbelievable? That the fight against the Albigensian heresy was war? That religion, as the foundation of society, was not relegated to the protestant post-modern realm of personal opinion? That the Albigensians, not unlike Al Qaeda, attempted to impose their evil heretical notions on their neighbors?
It doesn't matter if it was ONE. ~ Metmom
Indeed. So who grieves for Pierre de Castelnau?
Question: When did the Albigensian heresy arise?
Answer: Towards the close of the thirteenth century the Albigensians, in the southwest of France, threatened alike to destroy religious and social order. Pope Innocent III appointed special legates who were to co-operate with the civil and local ecclesiastical authorities in restoring order. In the civil-religious war which followed, horrible excesses and cruelties were committed by both parties; these are explained, without being justified, by the anarchy and bitterness of the struggle. The Catholic party triumphed, but for the ultimate success in extirpating the heresy the Church relied upon the efforts of such Apostolic men as St. Dominic and his disciples. [1]

Nothing on FR can approach the disgusting mockery of the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
