Jesus was setting a precedent by appealing to the written word of God for the authority of what He stated in disputing Satan's twisting of Scripture. The writings that make up the New Testament of sacred Scripture are just as Divinely-inspired and, as such, are the authority for our rule of faith. A majority of the Early Church Fathers defended their doctrines by proving them BY Scripture - they were following the same precedent Jesus set.
The Pharisees were supposed to be teachers of the law of Moses and, as long as they were sticking to God's revealed word, they were to be obeyed. But Jesus showed us ANOTHER precedent, that of holding our religious leaders to the sole source of Divine truth - the revelation from God, the Scriptures. When the Jewish religious leaders strayed from the truth of God's word and usurped its authority with their own "interpretations", traditions and rituals, Jesus condemned them and accused them of destroying, nullifying and violating the authority of God's word (Mark 7:13; Matt. 15:3; Mark 7:9; Matt. 15:6). THAT is what we mean by sola Scriptura and is why Christians must always follow God's word OVER the traditions of men.
Nothing that you said even remotely approached refuting what I said - which is fine -because you can’t do it in any case because Jesus said what He said and Matthew said what he said.
