Can you show me the verses in the Bible where Luther "added" the word alone? Romans 3:28 is posted below with as many translations as I could find.
Luther's point is correct though. We are saved by faith and by faith alone. There is no work or deed we can do to earn our salvation. See Ephesians 2:8-9 and Hebrews 11 and the whole New Testament.
