In addition...why rely on the catechism when the Bible tells us we have forgiveness?

It sure seems the RCC likes to complicate and control the plain, simple, and clear teachings of the Word.

But you never know for sure that your sins are forgiven. In the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) we KNOW our sins are forgiven. God remembers them no more.
