Finally a Catholic who is honest about who they pray to. Thank you for that.It's a "shortcut" CB. Just like "CB" is a shortcut for CynicalBear. But I bet you understood who I meant when I said CB. :) We pray to Mary and to the saints and to the angels (for their intercession). Other Catholics understand this; they don't need to be told the prayers are for intercession each and every time someone mentions prayer. In fact, it would be ridiculous to do so. It's sort of like a Cubs fan saying to another, "I'm going to see the Cubs play today in Chicago at Wrigley Field." The last three words of the sentence would usually be left off, as the other Cubs fan knows where the Cubs play baseball.
Why?
Are your requests not good enough for GOD that someone else has to spin them for you?
Only ‘true’ baseball is played at Wrigley Field.
Jesus said to go to the Father in His name. He didnt even tell us to pray to Him. In fact Jesus said He wouldnt do anything for us but that the Father would because He knows our needs.
Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
John 16: 26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
If Jesus doesnt even pray to the Father for us how would you expect those so called saint to. Jesus said to go directly to the Father. Dont diss Jesus.
