No, they are NOT all empty arguments! I learn something important every time I read a thread like this.
I learn from FReepers like Iscool, Boatbums, and Elsie many good solid Biblical (Bible verse-based) arguments to add to my Apologetic (justification of my religion) repertoire. And am grateful to people like them. Often I print out what they say and delve into the Bible to confirm and study it and pray over understanding it.
I learn from some Roman Catholic FReepers, the deeply errant conception they hold about Protestants and how they tend to lump all Protestants into one big doctrinal group which simply cannot be logically done.
I learn from some Roman Catholic FReepers, that despite our doctrinal differences, we can still discuss these issues rationally so as to try to understand each other. Example: FReeper markomalley. And I am truly grateful for that opportunity.
Sure ... good things can come from them. But at the same time, there is a lot of misinformation and arguments just fir the sake of arguing.
