If only the Catholics would watch. They are one group that does NOT want to know the truth of God’s Word.

they are the one group who brought you the word of God through the ages....without the Catholic church you would have no idea of who Jesus was....none. There were no protestants for 1,600 or so years AFTER Christ. The Catholics brought you both the old and new testaments in one easy to read book...the bible...they changed nothing and unlike Luther, removed nothing....say "Thanks Catholics" !!!

it is more important to know the Catechism in all its glorious details then it is to know and comprehend the Holy Bible.

ROFL... you've completely outted yourself now as a total KNOW NOTHING. How old are you? You have to be over 70 or 80, at least.

As a Catholic parent who sends her children to religious ed, I can only WISH the Catechism had half as much importance as you want to ascribe it.

Simply proclaim the Lord Christ holy in your hearts, and always have your answer ready for people who ask you the reason for the hope that you have.

16 But give it with courtesy and respect and with a clear conscience....

—First Peter 3:15-16

Second Reading at Mass yesterday.

Nope, the Holy Spirit isn’t dead. He is of the Trinity. Do you believe in the Trinity?

That you would like to see? Are you not aware it is the Holy Spirit that convicts us of our sins and speaks to our heart? When the veil was torn in the Temple the spirit of God went with it, upon Pentecost it dwelled in all of those who believe. Without the Holy Spirit reading the Bible and understating it is impossible.

So you never attend Mass? At EVERY single Mass everywhere, the Gospel is read out loud, as are the Epistles of the day and a psalm or two.

http://www.aboutcatholics.com/beliefs/do-catholics-read-the-bible/

Did you know that the Catholic Church reads the entire Bible to her congregation over the span of three years? Of course we do; Catholics invented the Bible!

The Bible is read during the first part of the Catholic Mass: 3 readings on Sundays and 2 readings Monday through Saturday, also known as daily Mass. At each weekend Mass Catholics hear an Old Testament reading, a New Testament reading, and a Gospel reading, all relating to a central theme. Then the priest gives a homily (or sermon) typically on that theme or sometimes directly regarding one or more of the Scripture readings. At daily Masses is typically one Old Testament reading and a Gospel reading.

Catholics also sing the Scriptures during the Responsorial Psalm which takes place between the first and second readings, and Scripture is also sung throughout the hymns which are primarily based on the Bible.

Catholics are also encouraged to read the Bible for personal devotion and study outside of Mass. Additionally, there are many excellent Bible studies held at parishes around the world.

Not only do Catholics read the Bible, they experience the Bible like no other Christians in the Mass. Sprinkled throughout the Mass, in the prayers the priest prays or the responses from the congregation, are rituals and quotes directly from the Bible.

You see, the Catholic Church celebrates, lives, and teaches everything through the Scriptures. The Catholic Church is the most biblical church in all of Christianity.

The Catholic Church does not and never has taught universal salvation. The link you provided is full of extremely weak "evidence," to say the least. The Catholic Churches that salvation is possible for all men, ie that God provides every man, in some way, the grace needed to be saved. Whether that grace is accepted is not certain. Which is what the "evidence" at the link says. Its rather different that Calvinism, where some people are damned before all eternity, apparently in order to make those who aren't feel extra special.

Apokatastastasis: A name given in the history of theology to the doctrine which teaches that a time will come when all free creatures will share in the grace of salvation; in a special way, the devils and lost souls.

My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the low estate of His handmaiden,
For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with His arm:
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and exalted those of low degree.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
and the rich He has sent empty away.
He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy;
As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to His posterity forever.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Magníficat ánima mea Dóminum,
et exsultávit spíritus meus
in Deo salvatóre meo,
quia respéxit humilitátem
ancíllæ suæ.

Ecce enim ex hoc beátam
me dicent omnes generatiónes,
quia fecit mihi magna,
qui potens est,
et sanctum nomen eius,
et misericórdia eius in progénies
et progénies timéntibus eum.
Fecit poténtiam in bráchio suo,
dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui;
depósuit poténtes de sede
et exaltávit húmiles.
Esuriéntes implévit bonis
et dívites dimísit inánes.
Suscépit Ísrael púerum suum,
recordátus misericórdiæ,
sicut locútus est ad patres nostros,
Ábraham et sémini eius in sæcula.

Glória Patri et Fílio
et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio,
et nunc et semper,
et in sæcula sæculórum.

Amen.

She became the Mother of God, in which work so many and such great good things are bestowed on her as pass man’s understanding. For on this there follows all honor, all blessedness, and her unique place in the whole of mankind, among which she has no equal, namely, that she had a child by the Father in heaven, and such a Child . . . Hence men have crowded all her glory into a single word, calling her the Mother of God . . . None can say of her nor announce to her greater things, even though he had as many tongues as the earth possesses flowers and blades of grass: the sky, stars; and the sea, grains of sand. It needs to be pondered in the heart what it means to be the Mother of God.

(Commentary on the Magnificat, 1521; in Luther’s Works, Pelikan et al, vol. 21, 326)

Protip: If you take your belief that Catholicism is heretical seriously enough to do a multi-sermon series on it, make sure you yourself understand it well enough that you don’t make multiple lawlz-inducing factual errors, including one real beaut in the title of half of the sermons.

So the Holy Spirit Himself has physically knocked on your door and spoken to you, too?

(c'mon, let's all play!)

Will their be a multi-headed dragon which rules the world in the end of days? Or is it just possible that people can use metaphors.

I will also point out that it is very possible the Holy Spirit was that which was the destroyer in Egypt.

Maybe if more Catholics did read the Bible as you incorrectly believe, they would stop worshiping the ground the Pope walks on.

Catholics WROTE the bible that you describe....even the parts that Luther took out...we know what's in it and carried it to you through the ages, copying it BY HAND for a couple of thousand years.....withyout Catholics, you would have no idea of who Christ was nor the story of His life, nor His teachings.....there was no one else around to write it all down....the Catholic church did and you have them to thank...
