Oh?
Are you not taking the CHURCH's word for it?
You only 'know' what they've taught you.
You 'know' that Protestant teaching is WRONG; because that's what you've been taught.
****You ‘know’ that Protestant teaching is WRONG; because that’s what you’ve been taught.*****
You have no idea what I know or what I was taught, but I will gladly enlighten you.
I did grow up in a Catholic household and honestly never even knew there was anything other than Catholics. I never heard about protestantism as a kid until I went away to college.
Protestants led me away from the Church and then eventually I no longer practiced any form of faith, prayed or read Scripture. I suppose one could call me an agnostic who never gave it much thought.
When in my forties I finally acknowledged God and my need for him, I had no intention to return to the Church. My husband was not just a non Catholic, he was anti Catholic and I was unable to refute what he believed about the Church.
Long story short, after searching out some other forms of Christianity, I had a conversion experience that led me to explore the Church of my youth. I examined all the claims for and against her, read all I could and prayed very much to God for His guidance. That prayer was answered and I returned to the Church.
So, please refrain from telling me what I know or don’t know.

Which is true for all Christians. Not a single one of us has picked up the Bible or learned our faith without the guidance of someone else.
The implication, again, is that I am incapable of intelligent thought or the ability to discern the truth for myself. It’s insulting to say the least.
