It is only by grace that we are saved. What the Church teaches is what one must do to be in full communion with the Church and participate in all the Sacraments Jesus gave for our sanctification.
All the other sacramentals, prayers and such are recommended for our spiritual health. They are not requirements. No one has to pray to Mary. No one has to pray the rosary. No one has to venerate saints.
Thanks for being honest!
Then these ARE requirements.
But according to some who cannot reconcile historical Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus with V2, then baptized Prots do not have the Spirit of Christ and are not part of the body of Christ, and cannot be saved unless the convert to Catholicism, even if informally, before they die.
Moreover, the logical conclusion of holding that the absolute imperative of Jn. 6:53,54 is literal eating and drinking, then no soul who knows this but denies the Real Presence can be born again or have eternal life.
Which mark Catholicism as holding to a false gospel.
But disagreement abounds within Catholicism, thus some can be saved.
