Whatever the flaws of those who seek to defend traditional values, their motives are positive; their intention is to preserve what is valid in the human experience, their cultural achievements. What your post describes is the sickness of those who have no appreciation for the multi-generational struggle of others to find truth & virtue. It is as ugly as you perceive.
