“I believe that scripture says that it’s a sin but I always follow that up by saying you know what, we’re not against anybody,” Osteen said to Larry King. “There’s a lot of things Larry that I don’t understand - so I just don’t want to preach on it, preach about it.”
In another interview he told Piers Morgan, “I’m not against anything.” In that same segment he and his wife Victoria said that they would attend a homosexual marriage.

So he’s for gay marriage.
The YBPDLN Ping List is generally published infrequently but based on the exploits of the megachurch pastors posts can spike for a season. If you would like on or off of this list please FReepmail me.

“We’re not against anybody,” Osteen said to Larry King. “Because everybody has cash with which to buy the hope and prosperity that I’m selling.”
“Does that mean you’ll take contributions from gays?” King asked.
“Of course, I will, Larry. God tells us not to discriminate.”
Im not against anything.
that’s an awfully loaded response....
one could extrapolate just about ANYTHING from it.
he doesn’t appear to be clear on the Bible’s teaching about homosexuality.
Jakes I know to be a “blab it and grab it” guy. his other dotrine I know little about.
Osteen...ive heard plenty from...
Interviews where a pastor simply quotes Messiah with ‘It is written’ and then further quotes His Torah wouldn’t be very good TV...
Probably bad for book sales too..
and if the gov’t—under the direction of the gay lobby— takes your or your flock’s money and uses it to pay for abortion or establish homosexual marriage, or the church of athieism, then what esteemed pastor?
Jakes is a heretic.
Why?
Denies the classic doctrine of the Trinity
that too! yes most assuredly..
“when yo check clears the bank you WEEL get yo Miracle”
How dare you express dissent to the great Joel Osteen. BLASTPHAMY. Vision and the all powerful religious mods forbid it. When it comes to the blessed Osteen, you have no 1st amendment rights.
Way to shirk your responsibility as a “pastor”, Osteen.
They’re waffling.
They don’t want to *offend* anyone and so are on the road to compromise.
It won’t be long before they’re outright approving it.
What a bunch of wusses. Whatever happened to men of God who took strong stands against sin and FOR God and godliness?
He’s not against anything???
Satan must be glad to hear it
In a sane world the likes of Joel Osteen (of Prosperity Gospel fame) etc would be wearing prison clothes. These folks mentioned in the article is what the curse of Protestantism has wrought. Each person a “church” unto himself or herself. Why not canvass the views of Rev. Jeremiah Wright? Rev. Schuller? Rev. Al Sharpton? Rev. Jesse Jackson? Rev. Moon? and wait, the Lutherans, Anglicans, First Baptist; Second Baptist; Third Baptist church leaders?
But of course the RCC have this figured out.The gay cardinal mafia in the vatican and all the priests buggering alter boys is so much better right?
Sinners we are all. Go cast the first stone?
All the soft-peddling responses made me physically ill. “Not against anybody” - give me a break. Then you are a horrible “minister” of the gospel.
Jakes is nearly as heretical as Osteen. He’s the head of his own personality cult.
