I know it just pushes some people over the edge when others won’t reveal their denominational affiliation, but your reason is part of why I don’t do it.
A relationship with Christ is not about denominations.
My identity is being in Christ, not being a Catholic, or Baptist, or Presbyterian, or a member of any number of denominations.
Churches don’t save. Christ does.
My devotion is to HIM, not an organization.
Heck... I reveal mine all the time: Wesleyan.
I await flames, but, surprisingly, they never seem to come.
Oh; folks (certain ones anyway) manage to jump all the way back to Luther, and, to figuratively de-finger him and toss him in the Tiber once again; MY present affiliation escapes the wrath that is saved for ALL of Protestantism, collectively.
