Yes, Portland and the college towns are liberal. I didn’t realize so much of the coast was too. Probably people moving up here from CA.
Remember that is by counties. I don’t think Lincoln and Tillamook are near as solidly “blue” as they seem. Plus, I think this just looks at the 2012 general election and I don’t think Tillamook is consistently blue at all. But Lincoln certainly has some solid blue infestations. As a lifelong coastie, I hope to have a part in taking it back someday.
