I don't normally care what a person believes when it comes to one's faith, well I do but I don't argue with them.
Last night though .. I was outraged!
Am I the only one to have heard the program?
There was some author who claimed history shows that the Apostle Paul hated Jesus and that he was the anti-Christ!
He claimed that Paul distorted and twisted scripture and distorted the sayings of Jesus to fit his own (Paul's) anti-Christ views.
What really confused me though was this authors claim that Jesus had tried his best to covert Paul and become one of the twelve apostles?
Was Paul living in that time?
Anyway the whole program was disgusting and I didn't last long!/rant
Are you talking about George Noory’s show?
I stopped listening to that moron years ago. He ruined Coast to Coast.
It does not surprise me that he had a guest on like that.
Paul wasn’t mentioned until after Christ’s ascent. If I remember he was first referred to as a jr toadie holding the coats of the Sanhedrin who stoned Stephen.
This just seems ahistorical or uninformed.
At least back in the day Art Bell was a reasonable good interviewer.
How this program continues is a mystery. Perhaps I should get a discount ouija board to find out.
There is virtually nothing in broadcast radio at night, or any other time, to listen to.
Tooooo many commercials Jorge.
The author is nuts. But you probably have to be to get on the show.
The only time Paul met Jesus was on the road to Damascus, AFTER the resurrection. Paul did hate Christians but then after his conversion on the road he became the main evangelist for Christianity.
I fail to understand why someone would allow themselves to get so worked up about someone else’s opinion.
There's another show, aimed at the Night Shift and truck drivers instead of the ghost story crowd, I've caught over a couple of the old 50K watt stations.
Can't remember their names, right now. But they're conservative "periscopes up into reality."
All that has to be done is to read Acts. Before Paul became a Christian he was their prosecutor and his name was Saul. God struck him blind for a while and gave him a vision for he was suppose to do. Paul was probably the person that spread the Gospel the most, specially to the gentiles and we probably wouldn’t have a church here today if it wasn’t for Paul.
Look into “Caravan To Midnight” hosted by John B Wells, who did Saturday nights on C2C for a while. He’s very Art Bell-y. If you liked Art, and who didn’t, you’ll enjoy John B Wells...
Dissing Paul of Tarsus is quite popular. If this is the first time you’ve become aware of it, you have not been conversing with atheists or religious liberals.
That trucker’s show is on 700 AM Cincinatti, and is called America’s Trucking Network. Great show. When propagation is good, a decent radio will pick it up just fine.
They’re on some bird as well, but I’m an all-night DXer, and I don’t do bird...
I have nothing to with C2C since they fired John B. Wells.
"... former minister for the Assemblies of God Church, Jeffrey Daugherty, discussed evidence for how the message of Jesus was changed by the Apostle Paul in order to create a structure to control the general populace of the Roman Empire. This structure has grown and morphed and has now set the stage for the New World Order, he argued. Paul came into the picture after the death of Jesus, and was not actually one of the 12 Apostles, Daugherty suggested. He was hand picked by the Roman Emperor Nero to de-emphasize Christ's message that the kingdom lies within each person, and they don't require the guidance of an outside emperor or king, he continued."Paul was spinning the popularity of the Jesus message of salvation but trying to put it back under the sinner needing a savior type of scenario...crafting a beautiful guilded cage out of what Jesus had provided," Daugherty explained. America's third president, Thomas Jefferson, complained about how Jesus' message had been usurped. "Of this band of dupes and impostors, Paul was the...first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus," he wrote. Paul acted as a kind of double agent, and killed James the Just (called the brother of Jesus), Daugherty added."
The show is only fun if you like following the shtick that goes on there, namely spinning lengthy yarns made of nothing. It is an art form however I don’t think they are that good at it.
I agree they are boring, Art Bell used to scare me now and then.
You’d probably get better information on “Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast”
Yes and there was no push back from him!
Noory loves obozo. ‘nuff said
