Why start now? Old habits hard to break. Wonder if they are going to publish the documents showing Vatican persecution of Jewish Christians.

The ‘real’ Old Testament has always been available (the Hebrew scriptures).
The ‘real’ New Testament may not be available to the vatican, but some of it is in the possession of some Jewish archives, but they are reluctant to release anything that supports Yeshua in any way.
