I don't know any of Catholic haters on these RF threads. What I do know is that Protestants here are routinely defamed in many ways. You have just provided one example. It doesn't help to play the victim card in these debates. It's pitiful poor argumentation.
If a case can be made for your side, then by golly make it, and make it good. Make the other guy sweat with your sharp logic and exquisite control of the facts. But don't expect us to back down when you play the pity card (aka Argumentum ad Misericordiam for those interested in the formal name of the logical fallacy).
Put another way, accusing Protestants of either systematically lying about or persecuting or hating Catholics is simply defamation aimed at suppressing an objective discussion of the facts. This thread, and the discussion it has provoked, could even be motivated by love, a desire to see people live free from burdensome falsehoods, but broad-brushing either party as intentionally stirring up hatred, with no basis in fact, is just deflection by defamation.
What I think in part is happening here is fear that stems from an undue reliance on human instrumentality in the things of God. The Apostle Paul indicated that heretical divisions among believers was impossible to avoid:
1Corinthians 11:19 For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.
But in that same passage he offers us hope that such disputes have a rational purpose in the plan of God, to expose "those who are approved." Because truth has a way of winning out over any falsehood. If you truly trust God, you will also trust Him with these debates, that His purpose will be accomplished, that the lurkers He sends here will find that word of encouragement to find and believe the truth they have been seeking.
Did you truly mean to write that "God" is the not the same as "God with us" ? You asked for the Scripture saying that Mary is the mother of God. I provided it. Perhaps it is the concept of motherhood that is confusing you. Mary, by being a mother, did not create God. She was the vessel by which He entered this world as unity of God and man. All his human genetic makeup came from her. You cannot separate his humanity and divinity. That was the Nestorian heresy. If it offends your conscience to call her "mother of God" then call her "mother of Jesus" and leave those whose consciences are not offended in peace, as it is written, Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
