How hard can the pope’s job be?

There is absolutely NOTHING that needs to be changed or corrected or clarified in Doctrine.

The way the church is run has been set in concrete for CENTURIES.

You can screw up royally (adjective on purpose) in your duties of office, and you’ll still be loved/adored/excused for ANY, ahem, peccadillos you perform.

Go on a few trips, ride a few miles in the Mobile, kiss a few babies, wash a few feet, wave to the assembled crowds on Easter.

What a deal!!

And you’re guaranteed a place in heaven and to have *Saint* put in front of your name after you die, to boot.

It’s a win/win situation.

Who wouldn’t want the job?
