I get it that she was fired for not following the rules she agreed to. But what message does it send to young girls who might be considering getting an abortion? There's no best answer.

Maybe the best answer is for a woman in that situation to conceal the pregnancy until the end of the year....then move on.

No…the best answer for a woman in that situation is to marry the child’s father. Not to continue in a “ committed relationship”

Highlighting the evils of sex outside of marriage does not promote abortion. Quite the opposite. Many women choose abortion out of fear that their uncommitted boyfriends will take off if they don’t kill the child. Sadly, they usually take off anyway.

The article stated the diocese received an anonymous letter stating she was unmarried and pregnant. Perhaps, she was trying to hide it till the end of the year. Right or wrong, agree or disagree... Mr. or Miss Anonymous will eventually have to answer for writing the letter and getting her fired. Just my opinion... but that action resulted in her being unemployed. I wonder if this had not been brought to the attention of the diocese.. would the school have allowed her to slide till the end of the year?
