More than 20,000 people from all over the United States have asked that the Catholic Diocese in Helena, Montana reverse their decision to fire an unmarried and pregnant middle school teacher.
The social justice group Faithful America and the teacher's friends, Susan Hawthorne and Margaret Rankin, delivered a petition with 22,000 signatures to Bishop George Leo Thomas of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena on Thursday.
The petition calls the decision to fire the pregnant teacher at Butte Central Elementary-Junior High School, Shaela Evenson, 'hypocritical.'

Interesting point and as long as one is speculating though it would surely be farfetched, what if she conceived through a rape?? Well, that probably didn’t happen or it would be part of the story, she would not have been violating any principles she is suppose to be adhering to then.
Besides, my post wasn't addressed to you.
I apologize then.
Sorry. Obamaesk was a sarcastic way to describe how loud
the smack was. Buy the way those smack downs are getting
pretty bad on Kerry. I saw the video of him and
Stephanopoulos and his head looks like he’s been taking
a lot of right hooks.
But no seriously I was just funning around with you about
the slap down.
“Mary knew full well what happened to pregnant women who were unmarried but trusted God enough to know that He would care for her.”
Then the true hero is Joseph. If he hadn’t married Mary then
they, both her and the son of god, would have died. Funny
how god put the life of his son on the decision of a
mortal man. This is just an observation I’m sure there is
more to it.
No Problem. Kerry is a fool who is currently way over his head with no idea how to proceed.
Fantastic observation regarding Joseph. Not many would be willing to raise the child of another especially when dad is God.
In Pennsylvania, you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all. What it all boils down to is “Will this woman get to collect unemployment benefits because of willful misconduct?”
“Not many would be willing to raise the child of another especially when dad is God.”
It really isn’t that rare. Tough my dad was always around it
was my step dad that pounded the morals and principals in
that I have today. And I would have no problem raising any
kid, even if I found it in a dumpster. God gave us freewill
but he also gave us humanity. Well, most of us anyway.
Joseph may have had a kind heart but it was being a real
man and stepping up to the plate to do what he believed to
be right. No doubt this was pounded into Jesus’ head as well.
