In the Bible, I think it is accurate to say, the only time God intervenes in man’s political affairs is to give us governments to PUNISH us for our faithlessness.
So would Jesus give us a Socialist government? Depends on how mad He is with us.
Good point, after all, He used many evil kingdoms to punish His people throughout History.
In our day, he gives us the government we truly want. Way too many Americans today want a nanny state, so God gave us what we want.
Ultimately we will get what we ask for in our hearts.
It can either be Him, or something very bad for us.
That being said, He is not a Socialist, but He will give it to us as punishment I agree. However, only because we ask for it instead of Him.
