I Was born in North Carolina/ grew up as a First baptist/ Found out the preacher was a wino and hit on widows/ left . Got drafted came home and joined the Catholic church. That lasted for 10 years. Got tired of passing the plate and jumping up and down 10 times in 30 minutes. Drifted into the Quaker faith and found the love of my life. Gave me two great kids and I have stayed with this faith. Going to meeting is a hoot. Sometime ten people get up and say a few word and at other time 45 minutes go by without a sound. The faith is real and very rewarding to be associated with.. I am 70 and at peace!
That was a neat little piece of writing, well done.
**jumping up and down 10 times in 30 minutes.**
This is not true.
When you joined the Catholic Church as an adult you were baptized and confirmed, correct?
Those marks will forever be on your soul. You will always be a Catholic.
