-— Perhaps when you can show from scripture the teaching of the assumption of Mary -—
Perhaps you can show us from Scripture where all Christian teachings must be found in Scripture?
Christ’s Church teaches the assumption of Mary. We believe the Church, because we take the words of Christ seriously: “If he won’t listen to the church, treat him as a pagan or tax collector.”
Catholics also hold to “the (Apostolic) teachings passed down to you, either by word of mouth or by letter,” like the assumption of Mary.”
Well; if you had NOT skipped #257...
NIV 1 Corinthians 4:6
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.
There is no such word as church in scripture. There were different assemblies of believers in different locations. Each assembly was autonomous and addressed individually both by the apostles and also addressed as individual assemblies in Revelation. The fact that Catholics have fallen for the deception of the RCC doesnt change the truth of scripture.

And yet you would deny others the same privilege. What a duplicitous joke.
