Martin Luther was a Catholic my dear. The only things he spawned were the daughters of the Catholic Church. They cast off some of the errors of the Catholic Church but retained many. Luther is no hero in my book.

Perhaps when you can show from scripture the teaching of the assumption of Mary.

Perhaps you can show us from Scripture where all Christian teachings must be found in Scripture?

Christ’s Church teaches the assumption of Mary. We believe the Church, because we take the words of Christ seriously: “If he won’t listen to the church, treat him as a pagan or tax collector.”

Catholics also hold to “the (Apostolic) teachings passed down to you, either by word of mouth or by letter,” like the assumption of Mary.”
