The pope's homilies are constructed in Spanish, translated into Italian for delivery and then translated (i.e. "interpreted") in English by anyone and everyone. My suggestion is that anyone who is seriously interested in what the pope has to say, should go to the source, not the interpretation or translations.

The only thing I should have done was posted that it was a Catholic/SSPX/SV Caucus thread. I don’t normally mind the Protestant input but the discussion is going in too many directions.

Double translations artfully presented to say what they don’t intend to say, while contrasting a homily to an encyclical, is not a good example of “unite and fight for the truth.”
