The only specific quote I used was the one regarding the “trickle-down theories” which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and social inclusiveness in the world.

More rubbish of the same kind as before.

The pope is just jealous that Free Market economics has done more to help the poor in a few generations than his church did in nineteen centuries.

The reason so-called conservatives try to defend the pope in his statist and anti free market statements are purely tribal in nature. No different when Colin Powell defends everything Obama does. Powell supports Obama for one reason, he is black like him, nothing less, nothing more. It is this simple, the Pope is Catholic, I’m Catholic, I must defend the Pope no matter what he says. People must get rid of this backward tribal thinking and free themselves intellectually.
