Henry VIII did not execute Tyndale. He wanted him dead no doubt, but he was executed on the continent (Seventeen Provinces/modern day Belgium if I remember correctly) , not England and he was executed after an inquisition trial.

Really. When I read his bio the story would hardly get to where he died. I stand corrected. Thank you.

WHAT! Many years ago, on this FR subject, did you not tell me just the opposite when I brought up the Tyndale execution?

Wish I could find the post but it could have been as long as 2005, or earlier.
