The writers of the NT, with the possible exception of Luke, were Jews. Try again. so was Christ....think carefully, Old Testament...New testament, When Christ established His church....His Jewish followers became followers of Christ...CHRISTIANS....who then became known as CATHOLICS...see how it worked????

That the NT church is that of Rome today, despite its differences , is the issue.
