Prove it. Prove the Immaculate Conception is true. Chapter and verse or historical evidence.

why would God, the creator of everything that ever was, allow His Son to come to Earth in a stained vessel????

common sense has a lot to do with reality

would the body of a sinner be the appropriate house for the Holy Redemmer to abide in???

would He arrive in less than a PERFECT environment???

To share fully in our humanity? Jesus was tempted in every way just as we are, and yet was without sin.

common sense has a lot to do with reality

Common sense? Really? When y'all are claiming a virgin birth by a sinless woman?

*Common sense* tells us that women don't get pregnant without sex. That's reality.

would the body of a sinner be the appropriate house for the Holy Redemmer to abide in???

Why not? Can't He handle it? He lived in a sinful world for 333 years after His birth.

Sure. He came to earth, didn't He?

Likewise, the EXACT same questions need to be asked of Mary and HER mother. Would God allow Mary to come to earth in a stained vessel?

Would the body of a sinner be the appropriate house for the (allegedly) Mother of God to abide in? Would she arrive in a less than perfect environment? Wouldn't the Grandma of God need to be sinless, and so it goes, back and back and back?

Turtles all the way down.

I join Metmom in asking you to provide even ONE Scripture passage that says Jesus, Almighty God incarnate, required anything MORE than that a virgin would conceive and bear the Messiah. All you really have is wishful, human thinking that God NEVER said was necessary. He came to earth in an imperfect environment, he touched unlcean things and people - that IS the reality. In fact, Jesus was born as a human being like we all are and, with the exception of Mary's virginity - which was how he was not born in sin - she labored with his birth and she brought him forth as a normal child. Scripture says:

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. (Galatians 4:4,5)

You won't find ANY verses that say Mary had to be sinless - and if she had to have been, then her mother would also have to have been and on and on. Whatever you mean by a "stained vessel" is purely without merit because Jesus was born as a HUMAN man. His sinlessness was because He was GOD, not because his mother was sinless. Scripture says ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God - that means ALL humans who are not God. This casts NO aspersions on Mary - it is how God said it happened. Mary didn't need to be sinless for God to be incarnated.

So true.

Too bad you feel like you need to DRINK BLOOD so your sins are REALLY washed away.

Since the Catholic claim is that Mary was sinless; then SHE could have DIED FOR OUR SINS!

Why would God, the Creator of everything that ever was, allow His Son to come and live in us, stained vessels that we are?

Ephesians 3:14-19 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
